CIGNA OPEN 2008 TENNIS TOURNAMENT

For nine consecutive years, PT Asuransi CIGNA has successfully organized its annual tennis tournament, CIGNA Open, for Indonesia 's amateur players. This year, CIGNA Open 2008 was held from February 17th to 24th, 2008 at the Executive Club, the Sultan Hotel complex in Jakarta. The Executive Club and Wilson have participated as co-sponsors for the tournament for many years. A total of 200 players took part in the biggest amateur tennis event in Indonesia – among them were top seeds Prima Simpatiaji, Febi Widhiyanto and Suni Wahyu Trijati in the men's team, and women players Liza Andriani, Septi Mende and Ayu Fani Damayanti.

The total purse went up to Rp 180 million – an increase of Rp 20 million from last year's total. As previously, CIGNA paid for all taxes on winnings. The tournament champions also brought home accidental insurance policies with coverage of Rp. 100 million each.

CIGNA Open 2008 champions:

Men's Single: Sunu Wahyu Trijati, winning trophy and total prize money of Rp 14,532,000.
Women's Single: Ayu Fani Damayanti, winning trophy and total prize money of Rp 8,640,000.
Men's Double: Edy Kusdaryanto & Nesa Artha, winning trophy and total p rize money of Rp 6,804,000.
Women's Double: Ayu Fani Damayanti & Liza Andriani, winning trophy and total p rize money of Rp 3,720,000.
