Audit and review the accuracy of case processing activities such as claim or commission payments, premium collection and accounting, or system structure and data entry, etc. to ensure compliance with administrative procedures.

Perform accounting/financial reporting & analysis activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the preparation and analysis of managerial reports and financial statements. Develop and/or maintain internal accounting controls and provide accounting expertise to the business.

Assess the risk of certain events occurring and formulate policies that minimize the cost of that risk. Assemble and analyze data to determine insurance rates, reserves, and dividends and advise the business on financial issues.

Support strategies for product development designed to maximize profitable growth and revenue targets. Strategies include market and segment analysis, product definition, competitive assessment and underwriting/pricing strategies, ensuring that products deliver superior value to customers. Support market-driven, consumer-focused product development project plans.

Responsible for overseeing CIGNA's cash and maximizing cash flows. Provide treasury and related banking services to support the business. Manage CIGNA's relationship with banks and other financial institutions. Manage CIGNA's capital position and raise the capital required to meet the needs of CIGNA's operating businesses.
